Frequently asked questions
Is the oMyPDF PDF to Excel tool free?
Yes. Converting PDF to Excel is 100% free with no watermark and no sign-up required.
What file do I get?
A Microsoft Excel .xlsx file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc and Numbers.
How well does it reconstruct tables?
It works best on PDFs with clear, grid-like tables — those convert cleanly into rows and columns. Very complex or multi-column layouts may need minor cleanup, because PDF stores positioned text rather than a true table structure.
Can it convert scanned PDFs?
Scanned or image-only PDFs have no selectable data, so they can't be turned into cells without OCR (optical character recognition), which we're adding soon.
Are my files safe?
Your PDF is processed on our server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, converted immediately, and the file is deleted right after.
